The North East Vein Clinic specialises in varicose vein removal and vein treatment in the North East of England. Using innovative techniques such as the Venefit™ (VNUS) Closure procedure, we provide vein surgery to combat venous disease including spider veins.
Although our vascular surgeons appreciate that you are able to contact us and arrange treatment directly, we usually appreciate a referral letter from your General Practitioner and would suggest that you seek a formal referral from them. We will keep your GP informed by letter of the results of your consultation, investigations (if necessary) and treatment.

Consultant Vascular Surgeon
The North East Vein Clinic was formed by Gareth Tervit MB.ChB. FRCS (Vasc), and covers all areas of the North East of England, including Darlington, Durham, Middlesbrough and Stockton.
Mr Tervit has been a consultant vascular surgeon in the North East of England since 2003. He trained in vascular and endovascular surgery in Scotland, Wales and Brisbane, and has a keen interest in the treatment of patients with varicose veins.
As lead for Vascular Surgery in his NHS trust, he is one of the parties responsible for introducing recent advances in varicose vein treatment in County Durham and Darlington.
